In the last two blogs I talked about the most recent news in the WWE and the Raw results. In this blog I will give you the lowdown on ECW. Recently ECW Extremist Tommy Dream helped a young child realize his dreams, by giving him a complete tour of WWE Headquarters. This your child is Christian a 9 year old boy who can be adopted thru the Connecticut Department of Children and Families. Tommy Dreamer took Chirstian on a tour, which he described as awesome, thru WWE Headquarter in Stamford Connecticut, where he got to meet such stars as John Cena, Batista, and the Undertaker.
Now on to the results from the May 6th edition of ECW. This was a special edition of ECW being its one hundredth episode. Last Tuesday Colin Delaney won his contract into the WWE, by beating ECW GM Armando Estrada. When Delaney rolled Estrada up and got the one, two, three the arena erupted. The electricity was amazing. Every fan in the arena was on their feet. Tazz joined Delaney in the ring to get his thoughts about receiving a contract. Delaney said, "I did it...this is what makes it all worth it!" For months now Delaney has been trying to earn his contract in the WWE. He has finally accomplished what he has worked so hard to get.
Mike Adamle took a few minutes to address the crowd and the fans at home. He wanted to apologies for leaving his position at the announce table last week. He admits that he made a mistake and is now ready to step it up and be the best commentator that he can be.
In an Extreme Rules match, it was Mike Knox vs. Tommy Dreamer. Once again Knox came out on top beating the legendary extremist for the second week in a row. Among the weapons used in this match were hockey sticks, a Singapore cane, and a boat oar. Needless to say this was an extremely physical contest.
The next match was Matt Striker vs. Kofi Kingston. Kofi picked up the victory over his well educated foe and in doing so continued his undefeated streak. After the match was over "the Gold Standard", Shelton Benjamin, who was sitting at ringside attacked Kofi leaving him laying on face down on the mat.
Kelly Kelly brought back Kelly’s Expose for this special edition of ECW. Before the lovely diva could start her show, Layla interrupted. Layla then challenged Kelly Kelly to a dance competition. These former friends did not do much dancing before they began to brawl. They eventually were broken up by ECW referees.
Another match from Tuesday was ECW Champion Kane and Mr. Money in the Bank CM Punk vs. Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely. After Kane suffering the humiliation of losing in a two-on-one handicap match last week to Chavo and Neely, Kane was out for redemption. He received that redemption when his partner hit the GTS, Go to Sleep, to take the win.
